Ringing and Fullness in the Ear

Hi There. It’s Dr Colette.

Let’s talk about what happens if you have a fullness feeling in your ear. Some people are bothered by ringing in the ears or a fullness feeling in the ear sometimes it’ll feel like they got a cotton ball jammed in there or they are underwater. It may only happen with one side or it can happen on both sides. Now if a patient tells me that this is what they have going on – one of the things you have to watch out for is that is an early sign of high blood pressure.

So what’s actually happening with that person is they have a skull misalignment, also known as subluxation, which can be treated by a chiropractor. Basically their skull is jammed up onto the top of their neck and this is causing irritation to the nerves in the ear.

Many patients will go to physical therapists or their medical doctor and they’ll have their ear crystals adjusted and all this here other stuff but it will come back on them and the reason why is because their skull is misaligned and it’s literally jamming the top part up their skull. This is not a good thing because your brain stem actually exits the spine right there where the skull meets the top of the neck.

So, the brain stem controls respiration! Heart beat! Some major things in your body!

If that area continues to get more and more jammed over time, it leads to high blood pressure. Did you also know that an upper cervical adjustment or a specific chiropractic adjustment to this top area of the neck can be as effective as high blood pressure medications and you don’t have to be on it for life? So if you have high blood pressure issues, fullness feeling in the ear, or ringing in the ear, come in and get checked out by a chiropractor.
